Price: $49.99 (13+) / $39.99 (<12)

Activity Level: Moderate

Review - 4/5

This tour is very informative and a great way to learn some history of the area. The length of stay at each location is sufficient except for Castillo San Cristobal (the fort). You don't get enough time to fully explore the fort, which is why I'm giving this tour a 4 out of 5.

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing! Puerto Rico can be very hot and humid! You'll want clothes that you won't get sweaty/sticky in and potentially overheat in. Bringing water is a must!

We brought our (then) 10 month old baby on this tour and wore him in a baby carrier. This is not a stroller (or wheelchair) friendly tour due to many stairs, steep hills, and cobblestone streets/sidewalks.

At the end of the tour, you have time to explore on your own. The street where your cruise ship docks has a CVS within a 5 minute walk, so if you need anything, definitely make a stop there and save some money compared to onboard prices for convenience items.

Description from Carnival:

Walking the Constitution Avenue, learn the history of buildings like Casa de España and The Antiguo Casino of Puerto Rico, which are among Puerto Rico’s most beautiful and oldest buildings, these structure boasts from the scenery with unique architectural features that reminisce the glory and splendor of the early 20th century. Travel through time at South Fortaleza Street and learn the history behind the famous and historic Tapia Theater and the Arturo Somuhano Plaza. Your historical journey ends at the famous Christopher Columbus Plaza, surrounded by restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops you can choose to visit at leisure just before heading back to the ship.
