Ocean Suite 9450 on the Carnival Celebration is an OS category located portside on the 9th deck. It has a maximum occupancy of 5 people.
When you open the door, you'll find the bathroom door immediately to your left with three large hooks on the wall. No need to bring those magnetic hooks!
The immediate impression of the Ocean Suite is how long the room is...
The first TV of the suite is found on the wall across from the king bed (or two twin beds if you choose to have the beds separated).
Both sides of the bed feature a built in nightlight that pulls out of the wall, as well as a USB port to charge your devices.
Below the nightlight you'll find a night stand. Personally, I found these night stands to look and feel cheap. I ended up charging my phone at the desk as I disliked these night stands so much.
Beyond the bedroom area is the desk and closet area. The desk has 4 drawers (top drawer has the hair dryer) and 2 open shelves to the left of the huge illuminated mirror. There's also a glass door mini fridge to the left of the drawers.
Next is the living room area that also doubles as the second bedroom. There's a thick curtain that you can close to divide the rooms.
The sofa turns into a double sofa bed and there's a bed that pulls out of the ceiling (pullman). If you do not need both the pullman and sofa bed, you get to choose which one you'd like made into a bed. We opted for the pullman so that we could still utilize the couch below.
The living room is where you'll find the second TV of the suite, a table and dresser below with 6 drawers, a coffee table and chair.
There's extra storage in the cabinet below the lamp next to the couch.
The balcony is much deeper than your typical cruise ship stateroom balcony and features two chairs and a table. The door to access the balcony is a sliding glass door.
Being on deck 9, you do not have a direct view of the ocean below as deck 8 extends out beyond deck 9. The one thing I did not appreciate about having an ocean suite on deck 9 was the fact that the balcony was not at all private. Each deck above you could look down and see you on your balcony. When we cruised the Celebration, my youngest was 1 years old and breastfed, unfortunately I never felt comfortable sitting on our balcony to feed her as everyone above could see us.
Moving back inside, when you open the door to the bathroom, you'll find the toilet immediately to your left with the vanity directly in front of you. The wall next to the door has two towel racks. There's a very large single vanity with three shelves to the left. There's an outlet for electrical razers on the ceiling next to the light. A new feature on the Excel class ships is the bathroom light turning into a night light when turned off!
To the right is the large shower with a sliding glass door (room for two). There's a hook on the curved wall so that you can have a towel ready without opening the door when you're done. There's also a retractable clothes line that comes in handy when you need to dry those bathing suits!
Being a suite, bathroom amenities are upgraded and therefore you get Elemis shower gel and shampoo. There's also a shaving foot bar on the corner.
The closets in the Ocean Suite are so plentiful and thought out! Of all the cruises I've been on, the closet system of this Ocean Suite is my absolute favorite!
There's a total of four closet doors. Going from left to right:
Closet door one has hangers on a rack, the safe below, then two pull out metal drawers.
Closet door two has hangers on a rack, with the option of adding one or two shelves.
Below both sections is a large wooden drawer that pulls out. I found it the perfect spot to store everybody's shoes. You just need to remember to open both doors in order to access this drawer.
Closet doors three and four are identical. They have hangers on a rack and you have the option of adding a shelf or adding a second rack. There's a full length mirror on the inside of the fourth closet door.
Overall, I found the Ocean Suite on the Carnival Celebration to be very spacious with lots of storage space. Although I wasn't a fan of the lack of privacy on the balcony being on deck 9, I found it extremely convenient to be able to go down one flight of stairs to deck 8 for breakfast at Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse. It was never crowded and had virtually the same breakfast offerings that you would find in the buffet on Lido deck.
