We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriot Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port (3 star hotel) prior to a cruise out of Miami as we flew Southwest Airlines into Ft. Lauderdale.
The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport (FLL).
Time to get from the hotel to the cruise ports (with no traffic) is as follows:
15 minutes to Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale)
40 minutes to Miami
We booked a 2 Queen Balcony Guest Room.
When you enter the room, you'll immediately find the door to the bathroom and then a counter with coffee maker and a mini fridge behind the cabinet door below.
There are two Queen beds with a nightstand between them and a chair with lamp on the other side by the window.
Across from the beds you'll find an armoire, TV, desk, roll out table, desk chair, and a chair.
The balcony door slides open. You'll find 2 chairs and a table on the balcony.
This room also comes with a closet next to the beds. The rooms cheaper than this room do not have this extra closet space.
The bathroom features a single sink.
There's a half wall separating the sink from the toilet.
There's a tub/shower combination with a curved shower curtain rod.
There's a full length mirror behind the bathroom door.
The hallways are bright and colorful! You can't help but smile and know you're on vacation!
Across from the lobby you'll find The Bistro.
The Bistro hours are from 6AM-10AM and 5PM-9PM daily.
You order food from the counter and pick it up there as well. There is no table service at The Bistro.
Overall, this is a decent pre-cruise hotel, especially if you have a late flight coming in!
