8A Balcony 4212 on Carnival Legend

Balcony 4212 on the Carnival Legend is an 8A category, located portside on the 4th deck (Main). It has a maximum occupancy of 3 people.

When you open the door, you'll notice that you have closets to your immediate left, the bathroom to your immediate right, and the rest of the cabin in front of you.

An 8A balcony features 3 large closets. The first two are for hanging items (many hangers provided) with the third closet featuring 4 shelves and a full length mirror on the inside of the door.

The bathroom has a large vanity with sink, toilet in the middle and shower to the right. There are 3 shelves on both sides of the mirror giving plenty of storage space without cluttering the countertop.

There's a desk right past the closets with 4 drawers, the mini fridge and 2 shelves inside a cabinet to the far right.

Above the mini fridge is a cabinet which houses the safe, with the TV above that.

The bed can be separated (two twins) or together as a king. If you have 3 people in your room, the couch will have the cushions removed and bedding placed on top.

The balcony is a decent size with two chairs and a table.

We had two 8A Balcony rooms booked side by side so we asked to have the balcony separator opened between our two rooms. This allowed us to access both rooms from the outside and gave us a much larger balcony! A great solution if you are unable to book connecting staterooms.

One thing to note, the doors are opened outward and secured to the railing causing half the balcony of one of the cabins to have an obstructed view.

On the portside cabins of the Carnival Legend, they all swing open outwards to the right (if looking out from inside your cabin) in the direction of the front of the ship to attach to the railing. As you can see by the picture below. Something to consider if you're debating whether or not you want to open up the balcony separators. If you're in the cabin to the right, then you will have a partially obstructed view. If you have multiple connecting balconies, then all cabins but the one on the far left (closest to the aft) will have a partially obstructed view.

If you're looking for a no-frills balcony room with plenty of space, an 8A Balcony is the perfect choice! The only negative to a balcony on the 4th deck at the aft of the ship is that you're right above the Main Dining Room. You can hear the music blasting twice each night when the dining staff has "show time".
